Responsibility is power.

Responsibility empowers you. Don’t you agree?

When you decide to take charge of your life, your choices, it means you’re taking responsibility for your future, and the consequences also.

Most people forget that. And when the results don’t turn out in their favour, they blame everyone — from the people around them (the first choice always) to the government (the favourite choice).

Is it fair to dump it at their feet when you’re the one responsible for all the decisions that led to this outcome?

It’s a pessimistic, and by extension a defeatist, attitude. This can thwart any hopes of making positive changes or moving on. It can impact personal growth or even hinder your seeking any kind of fulfilment.

I’ve seen it even in the classroom. It doesn’t matter what the parents want or what the teacher hopes to accomplish, it isn’t until the student takes responsibility for putting in the works can the desired results be achieved.
