How I Bumped Into A Lifechanging Experience With MeetCity

About two weeks ago I was scrolling through Instagram feeds and accidentally stumbled upon a job advertisement for students majoring in journalism and English. I simply clicked on the link and filled out a google form, it was so easy.
Honestly, I did not think that they would call me back, and I forgot about it for a few days. Then one morning I got an unexpected phone from Vesedia Inc. At the time I was half asleep and happily surprised. Soon thereafter an interview followed, then a test assignment and then another phone interview. I will not paint all the details — everyone went through this before. It was very exciting for me, although I felt a bit nervous. However, when I got an email with a subject line “Job Offer” I couldn’t contain my excitement and was screaming and dancing just like someone on comedy show.
So far I have been with the company for two weeks. This is not my first job experience — I worked as a PR-manager at a volunteer student organization AIESEC. But the difference is palpable. The requirements are much higher and the experience is more valuable. For example, a few days ago I had no idea how websites were created. Now I know, although mostly in theory. This work does not just develop certain skills, it changes your mind.
Firstly, it is very effective in fighting procrastination (if you have worked remotely at least once, you will understand me). Secondly, it teaches you to go beyond your limits and this is very important. I remember how I tried to create a website, I was very afraid that it would not work. And although the first pancake come out always lumpy, I’m glad that the team I work with gave me the necessary guidance.
Were there any expectations? Of course, and I still have them. First of all, it is the desire to develop our company. When one works for the result, they want to do more to achieve more. Along the way one acquires professional growth and experience. This company teaches me how not to be the best one, rather how to be the best version of myself.
By the way, about a month ago I created a wish list and finding a “job” was marked as priority. It was decorated with a picture of a girl sitting on the phone and screaming excitedly “This is what I need!” Should I remind my readers once again that I stumbled upon an ad with a job offer, scrolling Insta feed… Is this a coincidence?
