Chaplin, Universe & Train of Thought
“Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot.”
That is a quote of Charlie Chaplin.
If, however, you see things more and more in close-up and you see them at the atomic level, only the boring action of “touch and separate” has been repeated for several billion years.
I really wonder if the most spectacular drama called “From the big-bang to you” consists of this most boring action.
It’s on the way home from work, when I see trains boringly repeating their course that I am thinking such a thing.
