Mark‬ ‭2:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“Later, Levi invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners. (There were many people of this kind among Jesus’ followers.) But when the teachers of religious law who were Pharisees saw him eating with tax collectors and other sinners, they asked his disciples, “Why does he eat with such scum? ” When Jesus heard this, he told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor — sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.””

‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:15–17‬ ‬‬

I am a disreputable sinner, and I am the scum of the earth. But even then, Jesus is patient with me, and gives me grace. But why?,🤔 I know I don’t deserve it!🙁

It’s a display of his love. This is how much Jesus loves me. Even as scum, a sinner, that deserves death and punishment, he stepped in front of me at my death sentence, arms wide open in my place and took the whips, and humiliation.😓

He stood his ground and endured while the people mocked him. He stood his ground, and endured, as I mocked him in my sin, and ignored him while I enjoyed it. Just like the people, I spat on him and betrayed him. I broke his heart.💔😢

But Jesus never gave up on me, he stood in the way of a bullet to save my life.😭

I can never repay what you did for me, but I am forever grateful, and I will offer my life to you, because you value me more than I value myself. My life in my hands is a waste, so I give myself to you, Jesus, because you can make beautiful things out of nothing. 🕊✝🙌🏻🙌🏼🙌🏽🙌🏾🙌🏿
This is for anyone in any season. A reminder that Jesus will always love you. :] ✝=💟
