Wow. The Muse haters have a very different understanding of a muse than I do. I think of a muse in a couple of different ways, but the most important is that I don’t think of it as a static magical thinking kind of thing. I think of it as something that inspires because it caught my attention or occurred to me in a new way. Or a little more mystical would be the thing that I think a lot of people refer to as being in the zone. That is a very real thing that any artist has felt and knows exactly when I’m talking about. I think it’s a little reaching to debate whether there’s a muse or not is even a thing? Why would that be exclusive of doing other things that are very real that help you control your artistic and creative energy?
