My last week at Microsoft — March 2, 2017

After working for more than 10 years, the day is just around the corner, when I must bid adieu to Microsoft and the US — places where I’ve grown personally and professionally, in more ways than I can count. I consider myself extremely blessed for getting an opportunity to work with some of the smartest people in the world, on some of the most forward-looking and exciting projects. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much to everyone who believed in me, inspired me, and challenged me over the years. A special thank you to all my managers who always led by example and helped me explore things outside my comfort zone.

Microsoft is the only company I ever worked at, right from college continuing into my 11th year now, so it was an exceptionally difficult decision to make, one that I could not have made without the amazing support from my family. My last day at work will be tomorrow.

As a next step, I’ll be joining the Indian School of Business (in India, of course!) to pursue my MBA starting this April. Returning to India to stay closer to parents, and pursuing post-graduation management studies are things that I’ve always been wanting to do, so I’m quite excited about what the future holds.

In the end, it is the journey that mattered the most. I’m leaving Microsoft with loads of friends that I hope to stay in touch for life, and memories that I will forever cherish.

I will continue to be reachable on LinkedIn, Facebook and on, and would love to keep in touch with all of you. I sincerely hope that someday, someplace our paths will cross again.
