Excellent article. Another way of saying this that I really like is “The most important sale you will ever make is the sale you make to yourself.”

I once released a sales person because she bought a direct competitors product. I explained to her that she would never be successful with us in driving a competitors car.

The rest of the team clearly got the picture.
