truth – objective, eternal truth…really? Who can say what it is? Without someone who can say what it is – does it really exist?

Ok…in conventional, practical terms, we can postulate “truth” and that’s good enough to go on with, like Newtonian physics pretty much covers all our practical experience. So – I don’t want to make too much out of this detail, it only matters in a smallish percentage of boundary cases.

But quibbling over this detail DOES offer a small augmentation to the discussion here – a recognition that in any disagreement, both sides are probably right about *some* aspects. Both sides will always have something to contribute to the greater understanding – and therefore it is ALWAYS worth listening and sympathetically exploring the points raised by someone you disagree with.
