Cheri Kruger Muhle
Cheri is one of the tirelessly hardworking recruiters finding Gorillas wherever they may be. She just got married last year and has been doing technical recruiting for over 6 years now. Cheri likes to play guitar, play with her dog, Bailey, grill delicious food, and cheer on various sports teams. To call Cheri enthusiastic is to put it lightly: if you ever need a pick-me-up, she’s the best person to go to!
Best advice you have received personally or professionally? — Always be adaptable to change and learn to appreciate humility.
How do you spend your free time? — Playing guitar or playing with my dog. I also spend my time wood working, riding motorcycles, and traveling. I generally like to challenge myself to see what talents I can pick up. I also enjoy when people tell me I can’t do something — that means I HAVE to do it. I’m a very, very driven person. Also, I love American Football. For college, I’m an Iowa fan. For the pros, I split my allegiance between the Broncos and Cowboys. AFC vs NFC, so it’s a fairly harmonious split!
If you could travel back in time to any period in history, when would it be? — 1970’s, but only for a week or so. The music and the style is something that I love. But, I’m very grateful for what we have accomplished in today’s world and I wouldn’t want to leave for too long!
Best childhood memory? — Falling asleep on my dad’s bass amp when my parents played gigs in Central Texas. They are both musicians, Every Friday and Saturday night they would play at the local bars and dance halls. My brothers and I would tag along and dance the night away.
What made you want to work at Gorilla Logic? — The flexible work from home and the fact that I could bring my dog to work. Everyone is genuinely friendly and extremely smart in their respective fields. To be a Gorilla really means that you have to be good at what you do and being surrounded by a team of such talented people is pretty great.
What is your personal motto? — If you’re going to do something, do it right.
Best advice when heading into an interview? — Be yourself and really listen to what your interviewer is saying.
What motivated you to pursue working in your current field? — I love to talk with people and learn new things. Fundamentally, that’s a lot of my job as a recruiter!
