When I was eight or so I found the stacks of golden age comic books my parents had bought at an auction stacked up taller than I was.
I was literally up to my ears in The Flash, Tarzan, Archie comics and a few others I would only recognize by sight.

In general, the original artist’s message gets lost in translation (and sometimes by remakes) and we, as the audience, project our own thoughts, feelings and experiences and often take from a piece what was not intended.
I didn’t tell anyone for many years.. when I finally did I told my mother and she chose to believe her husband instead of her daughter.
It’s been almost ten years since the last incident and 2 years since I’ve seen or spoken to the monsters responsible for my birth but I still have panic attacks and paralyzing flashbacks.
