The 14 Hour Work Day Of A Truck Driver

The only people that understand this is other truckers. Trouble is, is very few people think about what’s involved in “getting it there”, even if they do work in the transportation industry. Very few people bother to say thank you or acknowledge the difficulties of our job. Drivers get one week a year where people are magically grateful and we’re such awesome people and truck stops hand out hats and stickers and hang banners saying “thank you professional drivers”. The rest of the year, it’s “give us our crap and get the heck out”. It’s kinda sad really because where would the country be if we stopped delivering? Homeless, hungry, naked and walking everywhere.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
