On Dec. 15th, 2013 — I tweeted one of my favourite quotes.

“Publish or perish”

It’s a simple message with a ton weight and something many people live by. Its context may be interpreted in many ways:

• Create something, create anything, whether it’s video, audio, text, painting, etc. Get out there and do something!
• Have thoughts about what you're building or, you'll become irrelevant.
• Publishing content involves research, research is how you can gain knowledge and become more proficient in a topic.
• The rest is up to you, your output is your success.

The majority of the content I consume is through Vine, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and random Google searches (in that order oddly enough). I’ve done enough *listening* in 2013 and I feel like it’s time to start publishing more of my own ideas. In short, I'm guilty of being a lazy-ass-non-publisher.

Then today I stumbled upon:

That’s exactly what this article is *go out and do something*. I've never used Medium before and I love it as a platform so far. It’s very simple, self hosted and has a beautiful design.

I may experiment with it further but, no false promises or follow up articles about how I haven't posted anything in 6 months. I can't stand that crap.
