Introduction

What is Zepto?

Zepto is the next-door quick e-commerce app, delivering online groceries, fruits, vegetables, personal care, electronics & much more to in just minutes.

It has a presence across all the major cities of India and they are rapidly launching their services across the remaining cities as well.

The everyday hassle for repeating orders.

Getting your groceries and other essentials in just 10 minutes is super easy with Zepto. However there’s one challenge- ordering the same stuff every day, like milk for your morning tea or the vegetables every week. It’s a bit of a hassle doing it every single day, right? So why not simplify this process for you?

The Solution

Redesigning Zepto, introducing subscription service into its existing platform. This feature enables users to easily subscribe to the repeated products .

User Research

I interviewed a few friends who use Zepto for their daily groceries and other essentials and asked if they face any daily hassles when placing repeat orders.

Persona

I have represented their responses in the form of persona.

User Journey

Existing user journey.

User Flow

New user flow where I have added the subscription service feature.

Wireframes

Based on the user flow, I have created wireframes with the objective of visually understanding the subscription service.

Final UI

Home Screen

  1. Subscription Icon-In the Home screen, a significant redesign involves prominently incorporating a subscription icon within the Navigation menu. This will ensure that users easily notice and engage with the newly introduced subscription feature.
  2. Wallet at the top -This will allow the user to easily check the balance. The wallet top-up will be the most important feature of the subscription service to enable auto-debit for repeated deliveries.

Subscription Store

In the subscription store, the user can subscribe to any items like the essentials which has the repeated use.
The pop-up gives the user a brief description about the new service.

Adding to Cart

The product page remains the same for both subscription and one-time purchases, allowing users to choose their preferred service.

In a subscription, the user needs to select the delivery frequency and quantity of the desired product.
