Great perspective on minimalism. I’ve always thought minimalism is about reducing stressors. Only once you have no distractions (anxieties, fears, accumulation) you can focus on being yourself.

The point you make about bragging about having fewer possessions, smaller houses, and more traveling is spot on. Someone who only worries about where to take the next selfie while traveling is just as stressed as someone who is unable to pay his credit card after buying too many things he doesn’t need.
