Good vs. Evil = White vs. Black

Oh boy, the undefined thin line between good and evil. Growing up in a society that is governed by white supremacy, somehow has allowed the white people to be portrayed as the good while of course the black community take on the title of being evil. As the white race feels superior compared to all races, but especially the black race they have dominated the way society should view those of color.

Isn’t it ironic how well white people have played being citizens of well being to society, although history has shown how the white race has created division in the United States. Taking it all the way back to the times of slavery. As whites felt African Americans did not deserve the exact human rights as they did all due to the color of there skin. They always made sure they where seen as the inferior race that had nothing but evil to bring into the world. Even when slavery was abolished the (good) white people where so kind to go out of there way and make sure segregation was put in place. You know, God forbid being contaminated with the evil those dark individuals carry with them. Segregation was not good enough for the white citizens, so they created the KKK making the evil black people fear for their own life.Segregation between the white and black people built tension between the two races. When people of color fought back the white race took that opportunity and labeled their behaviors as evil, saying that the black community was disobedient and brought danger to everyone else.

In Toni Morrison’s book Sula, “the bottoms”is the town that is filled with good and evil. Sula is a girl that grew up in a very liberating way and was very true when it came to her actions. On the other hand Nel is a girl that grew up with a very conservative mom and always made sure her actions were acceptable by society. Truth is Nel covers her evil actions with good intentions while Sula truely tries to do good even though people already view her a certain way.. Does that not sound like most white politicians implementing racists laws upon the black community, justifying those laws by saying they are protecting the citizens.

The good and evil labels are still in place till this day. People of color are still the target in society.

When thinking of food stamp fraud, right away everyone’s thought shifts to thinking of the black community. As the picture clearly shows people of the white race are just as capable of bring evil to the world as any other race will. The black community has been seen as violent because they have had to stand up for their dignity as humans after being brutally beaten due to their skin color. The have valid reasons for their actions which are a cause of raw pain.

A person shouldn’t be labled good nor evil, because everyone has faced differnet situations that stimulate a behaviour. It is necessary to learn how to understand a person because everyone has good and evil within them.
