Machines using BCD are still commercially sold and widely used today. It is also not only easier to reason about hexadecimal memory dumps, but base-10 arithmetic is also much easier to work with in financial applications instead of using base-2.

It is actually very frightening that many of the programming languages developed in recent years don’t even have a native concept of decimal numbers at all and using the extensions that make it work makes code so unreadable that you could as well use COBOL in the first place.
