As a reader, I appreciated that you provided an alternative outlet for those who don't have a tactful and caring listener available: journaling or even talking things out with one's self. We humans often find ourselves in that position, and it's sad and disturbing to see teens (and even adults) on social media clearly aiming to receive some attention for their woundedness. I counseled my children not to air everything on social media, as well as doing my best to be that concerned and loving listener in their lives when they needed one. Now that my eldest is leaving her teens, she says she's grateful she never spilled her guts on Instagram or Tik Tok.
