Congratulations, you have an EOS account.

As part of my community service to the public, I opened some EOS accounts for people after the EOS Main net. These were not free accounts but accounts that I actually paid for with EOS. At some point I realized that I was spending too much and the number of people that needed the account continued increasing significantly. At a point I had to halt the process because I could not afford to keep paying for them and I wanted to see if the costs of opening accounts would reduce.

Luckily, few weeks later, EOS Nation announced to all her Ambassadors that I am also a part of that they would be sponsoring accounts soon. Viola!!! I was so excited. At least, we will help so many people be a part of the abundance blockchain-EOS.

There was a criteriion, the accounts needed to be owned by people who are definitely interested in EOS. As an add on, I decided to add my own criterion which was to be sure that they really did not have an EOS account. This was to ensure we really open accounts for those who really need and in our own way encourage mass adoption. This way the resources would be used for effectively too.

DO I REALLY HAVE AN ACCOUNT?

YES!!!

Well, maybe NO!!!

YES??? HOW???

Before the EOS Main net, EOS was in an ERC-20 token and hence was on the ethereum blockchain. Few weeks before the main net, there was an announcement concerning registering Ethereum addresses holding EOS tokens. Users who had their EOS on the ethereum blockchain were advised to register their Ethereum address through eos.io while some did it by simply mapping their Ethereum address on IM Token. Many people did this but probably forgot they did.

If you remember ever doing the above, you probably have an EOS account already. You can simply confirm by clicking on this link eosauthority.com and inputting your Ethereum address on the space provided.

If you see something like this containing your EOS public keys and EOS account name, then Congratulations, you have an account.

If you don’t see anything like that, then you probably don’t have an Eos account.

I hope this was helpful. Thank you for reading, I am Grace @gee1.
