How is The Brew Faring?

Following the grand opening of The Brew April 17th, 2017 The Brew has become the life and centre of campus life at Oklahoma Christian University.

“If OC is home, then The Brew is our family room,” explains Cary Verner, manager of The Brew.

Grand Opening (April 17th)

Verner credits the brand new coffee shop’s success to “Mom-like Hospitality” and a deep sense of community that already exists within Oklahoma Christian.

Full time operation of The Brew began in August 28th following the new school year, and has since made just shy of $15,000 in gross sales.

“The goal for this year is to break even,” says Verner. He estimates that this will require The Brew to earn a revenue of $800-$1000 per week day.

Verner and his baristas are steadily working hard to learn the names of customers who frequent The Brew in order to foster the spirit of community in The Brew. “Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came…” is the description of The Brew on their website. “Well now you can.”

The Brew is located on the second floor of the Mabee Learning Center across from the Spiritual Life offices.
