ABUSE
Let’s talk about abuse, what is abuse, who faces abuse , who abuses and effects of abuse.
Abuse is the the violation of another person’s rights either physically, emotionally, verbal, sexual, psychologically or spiritually. Abuse can be considered to be so if the act is repeated and or are intentional.
If we are honest with ourselves, we can in fact be able to say that we have either or and be abused or have ourselves been abusers. This is to say that abuse is with us and is as old as mankind!
To this end we can agree that though abuse has and is still with us,it is an area that needs to be addressed as it can have from mild to fatal effects on a person, family and community at large. Take an example of a child who is constantly facing physical, verbal and emotional abuse- this child will end up suffering low self esteem, additionally the child may have physical injuries or disabilities all this may likely result to even death of the child.
