Today I woke up a little late- 10:30, and I needed to be at work at noon. The first thing I noticed was how sore I am from my workout yesterday! But good sore. It hurts gewwwwd my friends.
I jumped out of bed and made a Spark which gave me the energy I needed to rush to get ready for work. I choked down the Fiber drink which has quickly become the bane of my existence. Luckily, I get the next 4 days off from that bad boy.
I had a big breakfast because I knew I was going to be working a long shift at the restaurant, and I was right. I was there 12-9 without a break. Breakfast was a big glass of water, the last 2 of the egg muffins I made on Day 1 (which still tasted great on the 3rd day I must add!), whole wheat toast with strawberry fruit spread, and a clementine. That along with the fiber drink and Spark had me feeling more full than I have felt since I started this challenge, but I knew I would need my energy to get through this long day.
As soon as I walked into work I was informed that we had a party of 100 coming in in 2 hours. I knew this would be at least a 2 hour ordeal, and by the time it was over the dinner rush would be beginning. I had a snack at 12:30 (two clementines and a Spark), and decided to eat lunch at about 1:30. I wasn’t very hungry at all, but no skipping meals! I brought my lunch with me. I had 6 shrimp, a piece of whole grain bread, and I ordered some steamed veggies from the kitchen —zucchini, squash, and red peppers. Not bad, and I managed to stay away from the gelato today without too much misery.
We were so busy at work that I didn’t really have time to obsess over the delicious aromas attacking my nostrils as I ran food to tables all night. I didn’t even have time for a snack.
I didn’t get off work until 9pm, which is pretty late for the shift I was working. I got home as fast as I could. I still wasn’t very hungry, so I skipped the complex carb tonight (it’s optional at dinner time) and just had tuna and steamed broccoli.

I still wasn’t very hungry, so I skipped out on the complex carb for the night, especially since I probably won’t be up much longer and 9:30 is quite late for dinner. So my oh so complicated meal consisted of
Tuna (Chunk light)
Steamed broccoli
Omegaplex vitamin
8oz of ice water
Since I wasn’t all that hungry, I feel very satisfied. I love tuna ☺
A friend from work, Jess, is coming over. We usually go through a bottle of wine together no problem, but I’m going to have to watch her tonight. I could REALLY use a glass to unwind after my long day, but I am going to stay strong and drink my water. I’ll treat myself with a banana as a snack before bed, and then my HerbalCleanse vitamins.
So, today’s meals weren’t very interesting. I have the morning off tomorrow so I plan on going for a run and cooking something cool and sharing it with you all. Thanks for reading!
