I made it about halfway through this thing before I just couldn’t take anymore of what amounts to a fire-hose-like spray of ad hominem attacks in a diarrheal stream of “consciousness.”
This is just a bitter, paranoid rant masquerading as a thought piece. The rambling, discombobulated rage against not only comedians, but comedy it’s self would be hilarious if it weren’t so unhinged and the times not so dire.
You do understand that making a statement dictating what a comedian’s job is or isn’t -or what the purpose of comedy it’s self is, easily discredits the entire rest of the piece, don’t you? I refer you to the United States Constitution. Specifically the first amendment.
“"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
You don’t get to decide what is “comedy” and what is not.
Insulting Colbert’s audience as “stupid” without knowing anything about any of the people in it just makes you sound like Trump. (Read: an idiot)
You really ought to reconsider using “journalist” to describe yourself and consider accessing mental health services.
