Sexual harrassment is still rampant not only across the board in tech workplaces, but it’s seeped out into the public sphere in such a way that bars in SOMA often feel like episodes of Mad Men. That type of privilege-as-a-weapon is ubiquitous towards anyone not white, heterosexual, able bodied, men under 40. (50 if you’re already a billionaire). That you’re upset that the focus is on the PROBLEM and not stopping to make sure everyone knows that you are the exception to it is sort of tone-deaf and frankly does nothing to help all the women who don’t have progressive female CEO’s/bosses.
