Curse of Strahd: Session Four

Summary

The heroes discussed what to do next and eventually decided it best if they all left the house. As they proceeded down the stairs they met a mysterious man who claimed to be a priest of a war god who was sent to assist them in their exploration of the house. After introductions were made, the discussion turned again to leaving the house, spurred on by Lord Arik and Lady Ireena’s pleas. Yet when they tried to exit the front door they found it to be replaced by whirring scythes and then they noticed that all the windows were bricked up. Soon after they began to hear a faint chanting emanating from below grow stronger and could eventually make out the ominous words: “One must die, one must die…” The warlock then proceeded to blast a large hole in the floor with an eldritch blast, which also caused the chanting to grow in strength.

Current Position

Trying to brave the scythes, the thief takes a gruesome slash and falls back. With the hole in the floor the warlock made large enough to go down into, the party ponders what to do next.
