Curse of Strahd: Session One

Summary

The party of adventurers from Daggerford received an invitation to the wedding feast of. Lady Ireena and Lord Arik Cantemir, from the Duchess of Daggerford, Lady Morwen. They attended the feast and after some shenanigans and confusion over plates, Lady Morwen asked the party to escort Ireena and Arik to Waterdeep. The team learned through various sources that werewolf/wolf attacks have begun to occur near the Ardeep forest. After having their weapons silvered and meeting Kelbhen “Blackstaff” Arunson who seemed to oddly stress the importance of Lord Arik and Ireena reaching Waterdeep, they set out to investigate and were able to get more information from a farmer who mentioned disappearances as well, along with a strange thick clouded mist emanating at times from the forest. The team also learned that Ireena’s brother set out several days ago to track down and kill the werewolves but has not been heard from since.

Current Position

After securing the carriage the party has escorted Ireena and Arik to the edge of Ardeep Forest. As they begin to set up camp for the night, Ireena dons her suit of armor and commands the guards to assist her in finding her brother Ismark and his force of soldiers. The heroes follow quickly after her, as does Lord Arik, but begrudgingly. Two soldiers are left to guard the caravan while the other eight pair off and fan out into the forest.
