Curse of Strahd: Session Two

Summary

The adventurers followed Irena through the Ardeep Forest and managed to find a clearing where they found several dead bodies which apparently were part of the force that embarked earlier with Irena’s brother Ismark to hunt down the wolves. They made their way back to the caravan and settled in for the night. The first watch was interrupted by three figures running and screaming into the camp. The alarm sounded and everyone readied as best they could and were soon set upon by a pack of dire wolves. As the dire wolves attacked, a werewolf and another dire wolf surprise attacked the party on their flank. Meanwhile a bank of thick clouds and mist began to encircle the party, constricting at a steady pace. Soon enough, the party had dispatched the werewolf and the dire wolves yet everything turned black as soon as the mist enveloped them.

Current Position

The party wakes up to find they are beside a road with forests on both sides and the telltale mist creeping in and out of the tree line. The road and forests do not look familiar to them and the sky is completely overcast making it impossible to know where the sun is.
