New Microsoft Teams & Skype for Business Admin Center

So I got access to the new Dashboard last night, so thought I’d put together a few screenshots of the new portal. One interesting piece to me is the Teams Upgrade page, on how you inform users about the upgrade.

The portal can be accessed here

Main Dashboard

Edit a User

Messaging Policies

Org-Wide Settings — External Access

Org-Wide Settings — Guest Access

Org-Wide Settings — Teams Upgrade

You then have shortcuts to the other portals such as the traditional Skype for Business portal, Call Analytics and the Call Quality Dashboard. They open new pages.

User Configuration

If I go to edit myself as a user, you can see several options. I can apply a Teams Upgrade Status

I can then apply which app I want for calling and chat. As you can see from the below, if I try and mix the apps for calling and chat, it throws an error. So matter what combo I try, its the same error, so it’s happy with Default and Default. Also changing the Teams Upgrade Status to anything doesn’t change anything or any notification. Maybe it’s because I am Skype for Business Server 2015 user on-premises or it takes a while to replicate any changes. I might test out with my pure O365 tenant.
