Not Rocket Science
My way is simple and time-tested. Write an (entertaining) story inspired by culture and current events. Create cross-promotional products. In my case, I utilized Medium’s integration with Gumroad.
The approach is not new. Truth — I’ve been doing this for years for animated TV shows. When NOT working against 5 layers of approval, it’s fun. I’m looking at you, Cartoon Network!
Will it help make the mortgage? If you’re lucky, clever, and heavily market off-Medium, maybe? I’m curious to see how my own efforts unfold.
