In my late 50s, fairly successful, surrounded by Type A personalities. My worth in this environment is judged entirely by how manic my working day is compared to others and who can send out the most emails on Sunday! Ironically, when I worked shorter hours, gave more thought to what I did, I achieved more. Despite the financial comfort, still wake up every morning wondering what it’s all for. Doesn’t mean you should stop doing stuff and trying to get better, but it doesn’t mean you’ve failed if you don’t. You are correct, time for all of us to own our self-esteem and stop having it tied to how may “likes” you get on your Facebook post.
