What annoys me is this interview happened because it will rate -not because it will add any value to anything and I am surprised people thought it would. In fact you are piggy backing off the interview and writing about it because you know it will rate. I am sure there are many valid and constructive debates occurring daily around the country but they simply don’t rate so they are ignored. The rational, fact driven people are ignored by networks and forums, even Medium, in favor of click-attracting folk like Lahren. Consequently people miss out hearing real facts and constructive debate so misinformation and ignorance continues. We have lost the art of robust constructive debates. The public like to sit on the edge of their chairs, phone in had, thumbs at the ready, eager to be offended so they can hit social media and vent whatever. Robust debate is often long tedious, boring and requires people with maturity who can handle hearing tough truths/allegations and respond rationally and respectfully with reason and fact based arguments. While constructive, it is not sensational and therefore simply not good TV viewing. Adjust your expectations or look elsewhere.
