React Native + Redux

I recently started a project using React+Redux… I’d been (and still am a bit) biased against React and was hesitant to dip my toes into the ecosystem because of it’s ties to Facebook — there is very little I like about Facebook these days. Despite my attitude towards FB, the long list of new lingo/concepts (sagas, reducers, thunkMiddleware, etc), the code-smelly nature of JSX, the fact that I have to accept/rely on so much of the ‘behind-the-scenes-magic’ (where is my annotated source?), I’m slowly beginning to like how things are looking in the R+R environment. The ‘pull’ approach to accessing state data is great — I definitely had the experience of manually passing props to every single component and didn’t feel too good about it.

Anyway, I’m still relatively new to it all… it’ll be interesting to see how things progress from here as I get more and more experience under my belt.

Great post — keep ’em comin’.
