My Letter to the Comptroller of Currency

Last week, I submitted a letter to Comptroller Joseph M. Otting discussing the ways in which the private, social, and public sectors could better accelerate equitable investment into low- and moderate-income communities.

I addressed the letter to Comptroller Otting of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) because he is the leading regulator to all national banks. A couple months ago, the OCC issued a notice inviting the public to comment on their proposal “for building a new framework to transform… (and) modernize the regulations that implement the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 (CRA)”. I could not sit back and pass up the opportunity to share my thoughts on their proposal.
