Don’t we all love fruits? They come in all shapes, sizes, colours, taste and flavours.

And we sure enjoy variety. Chilled, fresh, chewy, fruit salads, mixed smoothies, you name them.

Fruits are some of the most nutrient-dense and healthiest foods you’ll find around. They are also low in calories and should be a part of any weight-loss diet.

But pause! Not all fruits are equal in caloric content, some are more calorie-denser than others;

I took a small sample survey recently on my contact list asking what people’s favourite fruit(s) is/are and the majority of the respondents said Pineapple, banana and the other calorie dense fruits.

Now you know why some people gain weight from eating fruits, because they are combining them in the wrong quantities.

The secrets to eating fruit right is to consume smaller amounts of the calorie-dense ones and more of the low-calorie ones.
