Bulwark: The State of Affairs and What’s to Come

Bulwark had a tumultuous 2nd quarter of 2019 but it’s poised to become one of the strongest community-led projects out there. Upon the shedding of a few founding team members, Bulwark is now galvanizing its community of believers to create next generation hardware (e.g. cold storage wallets, home nodes, etc…), software (e.g. Bulwark protocol, Masterhash, and Bastion). These goals are lofty — however they have not been stymied even despite recent setbacks.

Bulwark is setting itself up to create a framework for decentralized community-led developments unlike most projects being run today. Every community member has its own unique skills and we are calling upon anyone that feels they can add value to join in and contribute so that we can accelerate the objectives set forth in the whitepaper and product roadmap. We are all able to contribute to the success of Bulwark and we are not held hostage to the work of an official team, or founding members.

I’m a product guy that owns and operates a marketing company. I discovered Bulwark’s vision several months ago. I was not only captivated by the strong community but was also attracted to its ambitious goals to build crypto-enabled hardware and software.

There’s a multi-pronged strategy here:

1. The Bulwark Stakeable Privacy Coin.
2. Hardware to further enable energy-efficient and anonymous staking to secure the network.
3. Bastion: A cryptocurrency exchange focused on useability, trading UI (there’s still a UI problem in crypto which Bastion is helping to solve).
4. Masterhash: A VPS provider focused on servicing masternodes and stakeable coins.

I’ve created and deployed a Trello board (https://trello.com/invite/b/VRSBlP2L/8631eb5ef7ea8c8c351ee9c8f8c2f8d1/bulwark-development) which is completely open to the community to help build a contribution framework to help add an organizational backbone further enhancing communication and accountability.

If you are interested in contributing your time to making Bulkwark a stronger, more successful project please join our Trello board. You may either contribute to an existing card or create a new one, and feel free to make an announcement in Discord.

Please note: we will be focusing all official communication on Discord. Telegram will still be open but if you plan to become an active contributor it’s imperative you join in on the conversation via Discord and Trello.

I’d like to end this with a special thank you to everyone who has stayed committed to the project through the ups and downs. Your dedication is what will help make Bulwark everything we know it can become.
