The Family History of Dr. Anthony Fauci

Dr. Anthony Fauci was born December 24th, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to Stephen A. Fauci and Eugenia Abys. Dr. Fauci attended Regis High School on the Upper East Side of Manhattan where he was the captain of the school’s basketball team. After High School, Dr. Fauci attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Classics in 1962. While attending Holy Cross, Fauci made Dean’s List, and was a member of the Outing Club, the Aquinas Academy, the Knights of Columbus, the Biology Society where he served as Treasurer, and was on the Junior Prom Committee.

After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross, Fauci attended Cornell University Medical College where he graduated first in his class with a Doctor of Medicine in 1966. Fauci would go on to complete his internship and residency at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center (now known as New York-Presbyterian Hospital).
