“Pitch” I delivered 8/15/14

I’m Greg Ingleright, and this was Ferguson Missouri last night

We have a long way to go and so I teach and I train.

So where should we be…

We should be in a place where each possible position is not just technically open, but actively inviting to every gender, color and creed.

We should be in a place where work is humanizing… like our best churches and schools our work can stimulate and grow the better angels of our nature.

Humanizing workplaces begin each day with reflection on the fact that authorities first obligation is to humble service. Humanizing workplaces end each day by rewarding elite performance and calculating the days investment in each employee.

We should be in a place where each citizen who wants work can find it in an agile economy. We are smart enough to develop not only people or employee’s but citizens…because make no mistake about it… our workplaces are not the empty floor of a vacationing legislature, they are not our prison cells or our lecture halls. Our workplaces are those special American places… in perpetual motion, rich in interaction, flowing with information and emerging tools… the centerpiece for each of our hopes in the new day to come.

We have a long way to go… that is why I teach… this is why I train.
