Since its masochistic failure in Iraq, the United States has done everything in its power to avoid actually doing anything. If the last superpower starts to stumble it won’t bode well that they’re also pretending to be the global diplomat.The United States seem to have lost a reason to continue that role now that the Cold War is over. Without that singular enemy to rally against America’s internal problems are showing at the seams and distracting them from any real success.
