Greg Aziz’s 5 Rules To a More Fulfilled and Happier Life

In my catering business, I’ve come across countless people. Some of the happiest people Iève come across follow 5 simple rules. I’d like to share them with you.

Greg Aziz’s 10 Rules to a Happy Life

Being a chef for many years, I’ve encountered tons of people. There is a common pattern I’ve noticed with people who have attained success and ultimately happiness in their life. I’d like to share them with you today and hopefully inspire or spark something in someone in need.

1) Do what you love

The happiest people I’ve come across are all doing things they love. Whether it be cooking, flying planes, teaching, or whatever they are doing, they’ve found a way to do what they love and turn it into a career that could sustain them financially. These people don’t worry about slaving away at their 9-5, their life is built around their passion and that shows in there work. Ultimately this limits their stress and allows them to live much happier and fulfilled lives. Find your passion and think of ways you use it to sustain your career.

2) If you don’t like something, change it.

This one is simple, if you don’t like something change it. The happiest people I’ve come across are people who take ownership of their lives and make sure to eliminate things in their life that are bringing them down. If you don’t like it, change it!

3) You are what you read, think and eat

Whatever you expose your mind, body and soul to, will influence your overall well being. Choose wisely what you let into your mind, body and soul. A negative though is like a weed growing in a beautiful garden. If you keep feeding it, it will eventually take over the garden and destroy the beautiful garden. In this case your mind is that beautiful garden. Keep it clean and watch what you let in.

4) Que sera sera

The happiest people I have come across don’t let circumstances out of their control bring them down. There’s moments in everyone’s life that bring you down but the key is to recognize when they’re out of your control and pick yourself right back up. Change what you can and don’t worry about what you cant. Recognize it, learn from it if you can and keep it moving! Life is too precious to waste it thinking about things you can’t change.

5) Take enjoyment in the little things.

Look around you and see how beautiful this world is. Instead of focusing on the negative things in the world, focus on the positive. Take enjoyment in the smile of your wife, the happiness on your kid’s faces when you bake their favorite dish, the beauty in a rainbow, etc… There’s thousands of beautiful things in the world. Enjoy them while you can and appreciate the beauty all around you. The happiest people I know use these things to fuel their happy moods and ultimately live more fulfilled lives because of this.

Live by these 5 rules and you’ll lead happier lives!
