Uno

the uninhibited joy of children

Last night, playing Uno with Katherine, Tonya, Allison and Caden. Caden won the first game. Caden himself is a little ball of energy, sitting on the barstool, legs swinging back and forth. He literally can’t stop moving. He is practically “air-cycling” the Tour de France kicking away underneath the table.

So Caden wins, he tosses his last card down on the table in a fit of pure excitement. So much he almost exploded, pumping his little fists connected to skinny brown arms. Pure joy. A moment I needed to chronicle. I needed to remember. The purity of emotion children display is perhaps the most beautiful thing in the world.
