Gregg A. Sciaba of Wayland, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the age of 54.
Born on October 31, 1961 to Paul J. Sciaba, Sr. and Joan M. (Sampieri) Sciaba, Gregg was a graduate of Wakefield High School and the School of Science & Engineering at Merrimack College. A licensed Professional Engineer, Gregg was a technical expert, providing civil engineering design and review services for more than 29 years at the engineering firm AECOM (formerly Metcalf & Eddy, Inc.). Outside of work and throughout his life Gregg was also an accomplished musician, playing the piano and bass, and performing with a number of local bands. Gregg is remembered by friends and co-workers for his intelligence, sharp wit, and uncommon sense of humor.
With both joy and sadness, his family celebrates him as the proud and devoted father to Melanie and Andrew; brother to Paul J. Sciaba, Jr., Lee Sciaba favorite uncle to Zachary, Dylan, Anthony, and Alden; former husband and good friend of Cris Sciaba.
Gregg was known to all as a caring and always the first to lend a hand, putting others before himself. A dedicated family man, selfless friend, and wonderful, wonderful son, Gregg is loved and missed by all.
