Hi Jonathan, I think writing it in this provocative style really gets in the way of what you really mean.

I first understood the opposite of your point of view, but now seeing how you explain it in the comments I agree more with it.

I follow you when you say we should create a product from mess and failures (test & iterations) and not from following market benchmarks, without understanding why they work.

But I would also include uncovering what people needs in UX, and not only making the product usable.
