Solas: Warrior of Light
Prologue
In the time before man solely dominated the earth there were 3 races. Man, demons, and angels. Demons had been known to breed with man but angels did not for fear of the power an angel with the heart and soul of man would possess. For years upon years this is how it continued until 21 years ago when a small half angel was born out of a love between an angel and a man. That baby would grow to be more powerful than any previously seen.
This power couldn't have entered the world at a better time, you see, demons had grown tired of ostracism by man and angel alike. The dark prince began gathering his armies in the darkness in preparation to conquer earth from the humans and angels. The angels however had grown weary of life on earth and wished to ascend but knew they couldn't leave man to die at the hands of darkness so it was decided that an angel woman would give rise to the next great savior of humankind. A power that up to this point had never been seen before. This small child would be the saving grace and liberation of the entire human race. The angel woman in question Michelle had fallen deeply in love with a man in a small village in the far east of the Emerald Island his name was Kynata. Kynata was a former soldier turned farmer and merchant known for his soft heart and willingness to help those around him that needed it. Kynata knew that he would never be allowed to have a child with Michelle but loved her all the same. He worked everyday to provide for himself and the village he called home often feeding the entire village with fish he caught, crops he raised, or animals he hunted. When the decision was reached that a single angel child would be born Kynata was overjoyed that he would have a child to love. However his job was not to only love but to prepare the boy for his life as the warrior of man. Kynata was widely held as the greatest warrior to have lived up until that point, which was all the more fitting because if the dark prince learned of the child's existence he would surely have him destroyed unless he were protected by someone of great strength.

At birth, the boy was covered in strange white markings that seemed to emit light with eyes as blue as the skies themself. The power possessed in such a small boy was breathtaking and could be felt for miles in the form of a warm glow. Michelle and Kynata basked in the warm presence of the child for a few moments watching as he came to life, his arms and legs moving. On his back were small white wings that looked as though they belonged to a hummingbird. Upon discovering his wings the child instinctively concealed them. "Well he has that down anyway" Michelle laughed. Kynata sat pondering for a moment, "we should name him Solas, its from the old language, it means light."

The few days after the birth of Solas were basically normal for a human but on the third day Kynata and Michelle discovered something astonishing. When they went to check on the baby he had grown to the size of a small child. Amazed Kynata woke Solas and discovered that not only had the child grown physically he had also advanced mentally by leaps and bounds. An infant yesterday was today capable of running, jumping, and carrying on full conversation. These amazing growth spurts were characteristic of an angels life span but never expected in a half child. The boys wings grew beautifully as well to the point of being able to carry the child as high as he liked.
The following day he had grown once again this time to the size of a teenager. According to Michelle he would stay this size until the age of 21 at which point he would mature a final time into his permanent body. The boys training commenced the next day.

Part I
Training as a Teenager
17 Years Later

Solas lay in bed listening to the alarm clock ring. The time flashed over and over 5 am. "Not exactly the time I wanna get up after a long week of school" he thought to himself. He could hear his parents already downstairs so he figured he should get up and go on down before his dad came up to get him. As the door opened he smelled the breakfast his mother was cooking and felt his stomach growl ."Training sucks but if anything mom's cooking is worth getting up for." Solas floated across the room and got dressed and floated down the stairs. "Stop right there young man." his mother said to him, "you know the rules, no flying." "You mean I can't even fly in the house? What's the point of even having wings?" Before his mother could say anything in return his father's calm but stern voice broke the silence, "you know it's too dangerous son, if someone saw you flying there would be major consequences. Your wings are for emergencies only. Now hurry and eat we have things to do today." Solas looked at his dad, "yes sir."
After breakfast Solas waited on the front steps for his dad. He watched as birds flew over their house. They lived on a large ranch hundreds of acres long and as many wide. He looked around once more and stretched his wings wide. "Don't even think about it." Kynata said to his son with a smile. "I wasn't dad they were just cramping, you have no idea how uncomfortable it is." Solas replied. "Uncomfortable or not it is for your own safety." Kynata reminded the boy "We can't let anyone see your wings." Solas huffed but shook his head in acknowledgment. "What are we doing today dad?" He asked. "Today you are going to the fields to move the bails into the barn and I am going to watch you." Kynata told him. "That seems hardly fair." Solas jokes. "Are you at least gonna let me use the wagon today?" "No, you have to move them all by hand, its good for you it'll make you stronger."

Solas finished his work much quicker than expected and he stood admiring himself. "You know dad, I'm getting pretty strong when are you going to teach me to fight?" "When the necessity arises son, you need to focus on your schooling and getting stronger" Kynata said, "you can't afford any more distractions." "Yes sir" Solas replied solemnly. Kynata sensed his sons disappointment and turned to him and said, "Son a man only fights to protect others, when fighting in defense of others especially those you love, you can't be beaten. Now go have some fun you are finished for the day but remember, no flying." "Yes sir my wings are for emergencies only." Solas recited like he had many times before. As he started to leave his father grabbed his shoulder and told him, "son remember you are strong enough to do anything you set your heart to. Please don't ever forget that and never lose your heart. "I promise dad that will never happen." Solas told his father with a determined smile. "That boy is much stronger than he realizes, he can do anything he set himself to." Kynata thought to himself as his son walked back toward the house.

Solas got onto his motorcycle and started off toward town. He had plans to go to the mall and hang out for a bit. As he pulled into the mall he found a parking spot and sat for a moment. For some reason however the mall just wasn't what he was looking for so he decided he would head for the park and walk the trails and think. As he began his walk down the first path his thoughts trailed off, thinking of school and homework. Suddenly all his concentration was broken by a voice, "Solas?" He snapped back to reality he was greeted by a familiar face from school. "Hi Camille." Solas beamed. He felt his face flush because angel or not the sight of her was driving his human side wild. "How are you" Solas asked half distracted, "she is so beautiful, i know dad said i should not get distracted but he also told me to have some fun so surely he won't be too pissed at me." "To be honest Camille I wasn't sure you even knew my name." Solas added half heartedly. Camille was a beautiful girl she was 17 and in Solas class but she carried herself much older, more dignified and confident than most women her age. She stood with an almost intimidating air about her her long raven black hair swaying with the slight breeze. Looking at her caused Solas to blush. "W-what's wrong Solas? Is there something on my face?" Camille asked half seriously. "NO" Solas almost shouted immediately flooding with embarrassment, "I, uh, just didn't expect to see anyone i knew here especially you." "Well Solas since we are both here you, uh, wanna walk together?" Without a second thought about anything Solas enthusiastically replied "yeah that would be awesome." "Great" Camille said through a happy almost intimidating grin.

"Why is she so good at making me forget everything what's so different about her?" Solas thought to himself as they walked. "Are you just going to ignore me the whole time we are walking together?" Camille asked. Half startled Solas replied, "No I was just a bit distracted that's all. I never expected to be here walking with you like this"
"Why?" Camille asked kind of surprised.
"Because honestly i didn't know if you even knew my name." Solas replied sheepishly "I don't have very many friends at school and i don't play sports or anything like that so you and i run in different circles so i wasn't sure you knew me."
Camille look a bit taken aback but smiled, "Yes I know you, you are Solas St. Matthews a senior in my class."
"And you are Camille Akido another senior and probably the most beautiful and popular girl in my class." Solas said without thinking.
Camille smiled shyly, almost self consciously
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you feel awkward" Solas said feeling mildly disappointed in himself.
"No, it was sweet. I had no clue you thought that. I don't understand. Do i come off as a bitch or something?"
"NO, that's not what i meant. For someone like me though you seem like someone i couldn't approach." Solas added trying to comfort her.
"Well I'm telling you now, approach me anytime you like." Camille said with a grin.
Solas jaw fell open for a minute and Camille smiled girlishly "that is if you want to."
"This can't be happening," Solas thought to himself "not to me I've never even thought of her that way."

As their walk came to an end Solas stopped at his bike and waited on her to leave without a word. He couldn't bear the thought and blurted out, "what are you doing tomorrow? Wanna grab dinner or something my treat."
"Oh no i could never ask you to pay for me I would feel indebted to you." she said sadly.
"Okay, how about this, you come to my house and ill cook dinner for the two of us." Solas added, " I really love to cook and it would be nice to cook for someone other than my mom and dad for a change."
Camille's eyes brightened, "I would love that."

On the way home the realization of what he had just done set in and Solas started to lose it a bit. "Why the hell would I ask her that? Have I gone crazy i don't understand." He decide as he pulled down the lane that lead to his family's home that he would ask his dad what to do. When he walked through the door his father was sitting on the couch reading and only glanced up as Solas came through the door. Solas looked around the room for his mother and much to his surprise she didn't seem to be around. Solas trusted his mother but the matter at hand was just something he felt would be better handled by his dad.
"Dad, can i ask you something?" Solas asked as he walked in the door.
"Sure son what is it?" Kynata replied.
"Well while I was out today i met a girl from my class and i'm not sure what happened but i think i invited her over for dinner tomorrow im supposed to be cooking. I don't remember why I asked her i just saw her eyes and lost myself for a minute, im sorry." Solas said solemnly, "I know you told me no more distractions."
Kynata mulled his new found knowledge over in his head for a moment and said, "Well i guess we had better get up early tomorrow if we are gonna start your true training then."
Solas snapped to attention at his father's words, "you mean you are gonna teach me to fight? I thought it was only for protection."
"It is and now it seems that you may have someone to protect. Remember son if they are your friends, no matter how close or far, you protect them with your whole heart and you will be able to achieve amazing things. Now head to your room and study we will call you for dinner." Excited Solas ran for his room while his father sat on the couch going over things in his head.
"Why are you worried Kynata? We both know he is the most powerful warrior to have lived in many generations. He will be fine, he has you to train him." Michelle reassured her husband.

After dinner Solas retreated to his room to think. "What does she like to eat? I dont know if she is even allergic to anything. I have her number, why am I so afraid to text her?" Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted by his mother walking in the room. "Son? Are you ok why are you laying in the dark?? I want to talk to you."
"I'm fine mom just a little confused is all. I assume dad told you what i told him?" Solas said timidly.
"He didn't but I overheard and I wanted to talk to you. My son remember you are an angel but you are also a human you are pure and kind and wonderful and I trust you completely but I wanted to tell you about your angel side. Angels are heavenly warriors that possess a might far greater than that of a human or a demon. You will show a great prowess for fighting but please remember Solas that you should only fight to protect those you love. And when you fight to protect your love you fight with everything possessed within you. As a man your body has limits but as an angel your soul is endless. Do you understand?" his mother explained.
"I think I do" Solas replied. "And don't worry mom i promise I will only fight when I absolutely have no other choice." Solas smiled and hugged his mother before she left the room. Solas was asleep shortly after, feeling much more relaxed than before. During the night however Solas experienced terrible nightmares of the sky as black as death amd winged demons terrorizing the planet and of all things Camille. He woke with a shock and could do nothing but cry. His mother having heard him cry got up and went in to check on him only to find her son a mess of tears and pain. "What did you dream son?" Michelle asked somewhat pained by the expression of hopelessness on her sons face.
After explaining what he had dreamt his mother said, "don't worry my son dreams are nothing but pictures in your head they can't and won't hurt you now please find some rest."
The next morning started normally enough with Michelle scolding Solas for flying then feeding him but his father was nowhere to be found. "Where's dad?" Solas asked half concerned.
"He is out in the training yard waiting for you He went out early to get everything ready. Finish eating and join him."
After breakfast Solas ran out to join his father but found him nowhere. Suddenly Solas felt a surge of electricity run up his spine that made him instinctively jump to the left. At that exact moment his father jumped from a tree sword drawn. He rose and sheathed his weapon. "This is going to be easier than i thought." Kynata smiled pleased at his sons natural ability. All morning the two ran drill and trained hand to hand. As the afternoon approached Kynata stopped the proceedings to talk to his son.
"You've done wonderful today son. You mastered every technique i've shown you today. Now it's time i gave you something I have been holding onto for many years this is the greatsword Ghrian the Demon Bane. It was forged for you the day of your birth by the angel St. Michael. It is magically tailored to you and will respond to your strength both mental and physical."
Solas took the sword in wonder and strapped it on his back. It was much lighter than he had anticipated but surely that was the magic. He drew the sword and swung it a few times. He could feel the power of it as held it in hands. "This thing is great dad. Thank you so much. I promise to only use this blade in emergencies."
At that moment Solas heard a car door shut and looked at his phone in a panic. "Oh shit, its 4:30 I got so distracted that i as." "Dad I have to go my date is here. We were so into it that i lost track of time." Solas panicked.
"Calm down son its ok just explain it to her and she will understand im sure." Kynata reassured him.
"Thanks dad" Solas smiled "I'm going to meet Camille" Solas hurried and left the barn to meet Camille as she walked toward the house.
"Hey Camille listen I'm so not ready I got busy working with my dad and lost track of time." Solas explained.
Camille looked at Solas and her face turned red and twisted into a sly smile, "is that why you aren't wearing a shirt? And what's with that sword."
"Oh no please god no" Solas thought in complete embarrassment. "I'm so sorry Camille I completely forgot that I wasn't decent i was worried you would leave."
"Don't worry Solas," Camille said in a low sultry tone,"it not a bad thing" she cracked a mischievous smile and let out a little giggle. "Not sure i should introduce you to my friends now though."
Solas' face went completely red and he lowered his head, "im still sorry Camille I should have paid closer attention to the time. Please give me a few minutes and i'll make myself decent."
"Dont rush," Camille said in a soft sweet voice, "it really is ok."
Solas hurried off toward the house and lambasted himself as he changed into a pair of jeans and a green tee shirt. He let down his long blonde hair and brushed it then pulled his bangs behind his head and let the rest fall to his shoulders. "Alright this looks alright. I don't remember this shirt being this tight though did i really get that much stronger these past few days?" Solas hurried down stairs to see Camille waiting on the couch. "Alright I am ready we will have dinner in a little while so what should we do till then?"
Camille eyed Solas as he walked down the stairs and said, "how about you show me around?" Camille said, "we could start in your bedroom" She winked and smiled slyly again.
"This can't actually be happening" Solas thought to himself in panic. All he could muster was a nervous giggle in response. "Did I fluster you? You haven't even complimented my outfit." Camille joked.
At that moment she stood and turned and Solas realized exactly what she was wearing. A short skirt and a white button down shirt that was particularly tight in the chest area. The outfit beautifully accented Camille's already beautiful curves. Just the sight completely flustered Solas' mind.
"Y-you look amazing Camille. I-I'm not sure what to say." Solas stuttered.
"You are so easy to fluster Solas. You are just so cute." Camille said sunnily.
"Thanks Camille" Solas replied embarrassed but happy. "Well let's get this tour under way shall we?"
Solas showed Camille all around the house then they went outside to the training grounds that had been consuming most of Solas' free time.
"So this is why you are so strong huh?" Camille asked "you train with your dad?? Everyone knows the stories of Kynata St. Matthews."
"Yeah he trains me and that sword i had earlier was a gift from him for me."Solas told her. He pulled Ghrian from the wall and showed it to Camille. After showing it to her he slung the sword over his shoulder. At that moment a strange feeling came over Solas. It made him feel tense and threatened. He immediately got in front of Camille to protect her when the door swung open violently and a man with black wings floated into the room.
"Little sister I had to look all day to find you just what the hell are you doing here with some commoner?"" the strange man seemed to be questioning Camille.
"You don't own me Mordecai. I don't need you to keep tabs on me dammit." Camille seethed.
"Who the hell are you? And why are you being such a prick?" Solas screamed at the man named Mordecai.
"Thats my dick of an older brother Mordecai he thinks I'm his property." Camille told Solas.
"And why does he have fucking wings?" Solas asked dreading the answer. He felt as though he had seen those wings before but where?
"Because he is Mordecai Dorchadas a very high ranking demon. A pureblood demon that answers directly to the dark prince."
"Oh fuck" Solas thought to himself. "This is about to be really stupid."
"She not your property asshole now get the fuck out of here." the words seemed to sting as he screamed them.
Mordecai floated toward Solas and smacked him hard across the face. He grabbed Camille by the arm only to be answered with Solas arm grabbing his and squeezing very hard. "I told you, you do not own her." Mordecai winced in pain at Solas' words as his grip tightened. Camille looked at Solas and noticed strange white markings all over his body and his eyes had shifted from a quiet blue to an intense glowing violet and he had sprouted incredible wings white as snow glowing gold and massive. She was awestruck by his stature and power but didn't have words to be able to say anything.
"I only fight to protect the ones i care about and I won't let you hurt her. Leave now and I wont end you." Solas said his voice had shifted from a normal tone to very serious violent tone. " I will wipe you off the planet."
Solas unsheathed his sword and held it close to Mordecai's throat "It'll be nothing to kill you. Leave now and never return for camille and i will let you live."
Mordecai released Camille's arm and backed down in fear. "So dear sister you found yourself a holy protector? How ironic that a half demon would be guarded by an angel."
"Oh shit a half demon? How is that possible i couldn't even tell oh dad is gonna be pissed." Solas thought to himself. The slight distraction allowed Mordecai to land a hard blow to Solas face. As hard as it was however it barely scathed Solas. Mordecai trembled and fell to the floor after a hard blow to the gut from Solas. "You're beaten Mordecai leave now and you live attack Camille again and I will cut you down where you stand. In that moment Mordecai sprang forward with great speed toward Camille only to be dealt a fatal blow from Solas. He fall to the floor in a heap in a puddle of blood and Solas dropped to his knees. Camille ran to him and held him, "thank you Solas you saved me."
"Solas, what have you done?" Kynata's voice broke the tension of the moment as he beheld the scene in bewilderment.
"Dad he was a demon!" Solas screamed through tears. "He was going to kill Camille I couldn't let that happen I couldn't stand by and just let her die I don't know what happened but I stopped him." Upon finishing his explanation Solas fell to the floor too exhausted to continue. His father and Camille helped him inside his body still hot to the touch and his wings fully extended. They lay him in his bed where he slept for a few hours. He woke to his father's face twisted in a look of concern.
"I'm so sorry dad. I really screwed up and I didn't mean to." Solas sadly said to his dad "wait where did Camille go? Is she okay i didn't hurt her did I? Did she run off because she saw my wings? I screwed everything up dammit."
Before his father could say anything the door opened and in walked Camille but something was different. Solas' eyes widened at the sight. "Camille has wings too? What the fuck is going on? Her brother called her a half demon. What the hell."
"You didn't screw up anything Solas, you saved me from my sicko brother he only wanted me to continue his bloodline. I am so thankful for you." Camille assured Solas.
Just hearing her voice calmed Solas a bit. "Now we all need to talk about this." Kynata intervened "Solas what you did was exactly correct son you did nothing wrong you fought for and protected someone you cared about I couldn't be prouder of you. However you need to understand the consequences of this. You have now exposed yourself to another person and shown her who you really are. I don't see it as too much of a surprise to her considering the circumstances but its still serious."
"You needn't worry Sir Kynata this secret is safe with me I owe him my entire life I could never betray him." Camille reassured him.
"I believe her dad. I know what she is but i can tell that there is good inside of her she won't betray me I know it." Solas added. "By the way, where is mom?"
"She is speaking with Saint Michael about the events of today. They are just making sure we are safeguarded by the accords in your defense of another. I'm pretty sure your good though." Kynata told his son. "I'm going to head to meet her so i'll be gone for a few hours. I expect you two have quite a lot to talk about. Conduct yourself accordingly my son."
"Yes sir" Solas replied dutifully.
After Kynata departed Solas went to the kitchen followed by Camille. "You want something to drink? We have water and from the looks of it that's about it, sorry im not more prepared."
Camille just giggled and smiled at Solas, "You saved me today. You stopped a very powerful demon alone in one blow and you worry about not having something suitable for me to drink? You are so weird."
"I'm sorry" Solas replied halfheartedly.
"Do you know what I am?" Camille asked seeming unsure.
"I do and I don't care what you are. I care about who you are. And in my view who you are is just perfect for me." Solas told her with conviction.
Camille beamed "I'm so happy to hear you say that. I was worried i would disgust you." Camille let her wings free as if to offer up one last time what she really was for judgement.
"Your wings are the same color as your hair. They are beautiful." Solas said admiring Camille's raven black wings.
Following her lead Solas released his wings fully they were quite a bit larger than Camille's and white as snow. The two sets of wings next to one another set a stark but beautiful contrast. Camille stood in awe of the beauty and purity of his wings. "Your wings are the most amazing thing I have ever seen."
"So where do we go from here?" Solas asked.
"Well as far as I am concerned I am yours now you saved my life and i will never be able to repay that debt so intend to spend every minute possible trying." Camille said in a calm but serious tone.
"You don't belong to me Camille I protected you and I will always protect you. That's all there is to it." Solas told her sternly.
"Ok Solas." Camille relented. "I have one more question though. Do you know anything of how demons live??"
"No I don't but it can't be that different can it?" Solas asked.
"Demons are divided into families that have leaders. All their leaders have handlers. Mordecai was one of those leaders in the world of demons since you killed him you are now the leader of The Family Dorchadas. That means that you now head a demon house and I am one of your handlers. I am sworn to you and will stay with you always." Camille explained.
Solas took in all the information and looked at Camille's beautiful face, "well i guess that's not so bad.
"Brother dearest while a very powerful demon he was a shitty house lord he didn't pick his handlers that was my job. It wasn't all bad though I picked them all by hand and they are your handlers now. You actually know them though you didn't know they were demons. There are 3 of us myself Riku and Asura."Camille explained.
"So wait" Solas human side peaked with interest, "my handlers are the 3 hottest girls at school?"
Just then Riku and Asura appeared out of nowhere, "glad to know you feel that way about us master." Riku said seductively.
"Riku Kayaba, never thought id see her beautiful red hair up close." Solas thought.
Riku was a tall fit girl with crimson red hair and a look of utter grace she carried herself in a very refined way but underneath it all there was an air of destruction. She seemed to keep her desires right at the surface though.
"And then there is Asura Reiko a beautiful blonde. And they both know my name.
Asura stood a few inches shorter than Riku but still carried herself just as gracefully.
"Please just call me Solas. Master seems a bit too.... Formal"
"Ok Solas" the two said in unison.
After a few hours of discussing their next move Michelle and Kynata walked in to greet Solas and congratulate him for what he'd done.
"You understand son that you are technically the leader of a devil family now right?" Michelle asked concerned.
"Yeah mom i know. These girls are my handlers This is Asura Reiko and Riku Kayaba and this is the sister of the demon I killed, Camille Dorchadas. And I talked it over with them and learned they all have a house together close to campus at school and evidently i am supposed to move in there." Solas explained.
"Absolutely not young man. Im not letting you move in with a bunch of demons. No offense girls." Michelle yelled.
"Well mom from what i understand, if i don't go with them they won't leave here. I'll still be back on weekends and to train with dad. All these girls are actually wicked powerful they can protect me if i need it." Solas told her. "It'll be easier on everyone if i go with them I promise i'll still go to school. They aren't like regular demons. As a matter of fact none of them are particularly fans of being demons but did it to protect one another."
"Well then girls if you are my sons handlers I expect 2 things. First is if my son needs your help you had better be there and second I expect you to teach my son how to be a gentleman around 3 beautiful girls." Michelle smiled. "Also son St. Michael has asked a favor of you. He wants you under his employ hunting rogue demons that ignore the accord. He will pay you nicely and it could be a good chance to train yourself."
Kynata cut in, "son remember, these women are now under your charge you are tasked with protecting them and they protecting you. I expect you won't disappoint me?"
"I promise dad i will keep things under control. And mom tell Saint Michael that i accept his offer.
"I'm happy to hear you say that." Saint Michael had snuck in. Upon seeing Saint Michael the girls trembled in fear. "You have nothing to fear girls. You are under both the service and protection of Solas St. Matthews. I would never harm you. " Michael reassured the demons. "Solas you and I need to speak with you about the situation you find yourself in. You are now the leader of a demon house. This has happened once before however so we do know the effects. The original angel turned demon was Lucifer himself. His story is not quite as you think you see after killing the original king of the underworld in battle Lucifer had no choice but to ascend the throne of darkness it was necessary. For the first 100 years things were fine but as time went on Lucifer became seduced by the power offered to him by his new demon blood. He eventually succumbed to the power and was banished from the kingdoms of heaven and earth."
"So I'm going to turn evil?" Solas asked worried.
"Perhaps or perhaps not. It is completely dependent upon you. You also possess the blood of man which means you have much more control over both your heart and mind. As long as you never fully give into the power you can stay master of both powers. You will notice after entering these demons domain that your power will change. Your wings may darken you may die these things are very unpredictable. However you are officially recognized by both sides as a Tri-being. You contain parts of all known beings. For the most part you should be left in peace but be warned there will be those in all worlds that believe you are an abomination and they will attack you." Michael warned.
"We won't allow anyone near him" Camille said forcefully.
"I expect nothing less." Michael said with bit of warning in his tone. "As for killing demons for pay, we will contact you when one needs to be dealt with and pay you once they have been taken care of. Can you girls kill demons?"
"No problem" they all 3 shouted in unison.
St Michael pulled Solas aside and asked in a hushed tone, "you saw this in a dream before it happened didn't you. Youre mother and I knew this was going to happen and i must say you've fulfilled the prophecy quite well. You are no doubt the strongest warrior of all the three realms."
Confused Solas just stared at Michael "that can't be right i know im an angel and now technically a demon but i can't be the strongest of all time there is no way"
As if sensing the boys confusion Michael said, "Don't worry child all will be revealed in due time. Please remember what we have spoken of here. We will be in contact with your first soul contract shortly. For now enjoy yourself." St. Michael gave a playful wink and looked quickly toward the three girls.
"I Heard That Michael" Michelle boomed across the room. Michael smiled and disappeared in a flash of golden light

Part II

Becoming a Devil
The next day was different for Solas in a lot of ways. First he had slept in his bed for the last time before moving to the Dorchadas Family home which would've been fine save for the three other bodies that shared his small bed. "I suppose it could be worse, sure im technically a demon now but just look at me walking to school with the three prettiest girls here. This is pretty great." Once they reach school it was completely different. Evidently word spread pretty quickly that Solas was seen with Camille, Riku and Asura because all day he dealt with whispers and looks of contempt or jealousy from all the boys and looks of intrigue from all the girls their interest peaked by his new status. By the end of the day it had become nearly too much to handle and all Solas wanted to do was crawl into a dark room and be alone. "This is too damn much I'm not even sure what I am supposed to do now."
At the end of the day he walked to the front gate where the girls were waiting on him. Seeing them filled his human side with hormones he couldn't control. "I can't even go near them. I'll lose all control." He stopped for a moment before reaching them to gather himself and to force his brain to stop. After gathering himself He followed the girls to a normal looking home very near the campus of their school. Upon entering the house however he saw something unbelievable. What was a normal family house on the outside was a castle on the inside.
"Welcome home master" Riku told Solas.
"Uh thanks but Riku please call me Solas." he replied feeling uncomfortable. Something about being in this place made him feel tense and on edge. Camille sensing this explained "Don't worry Solas it only feels strange because this is your first time being exposed to actual demon power. This house was my creation using very strong illusion magic. It's bound to have a small effect."
"This is too much" Solas whispered feeling ashamed. "Where is my room?"
The girls looked downtrodden as they showed him to the master bedroom.
"Holy shit Camille my whole house could fit in here. And that bed looks like it sleeps 12 this is too much for one person."
Camille brightened up a little, "only the best for the new head of our house."
"I'm sorry Camille I don't mean to sound ungrateful, I'm just really confused and overwhelmed." Solas added solemnly. "I can't seem to process everything."
Camille hugged Solas, "everything will be ok soon you just have to get used to it darling that's all. A hot shower may help. You'll find all your clothes in the closet. We will be waiting on you when you get out."
After finding the bathroom and taking a shower Solas did feel a good bit better and the weight of everything seemed to have lifted a little. Upon entering his room he found the three girls waiting on his bed with no clothes on. "Oh shit I'm so sorry." Solas screamed running out of the room.
Camille followed shortly after, "why did you run away? You don't have to be so weird. We love to be naked and with a new head of house we just wanted to give you a warm welcome."
"That's a warm welcome? Holy shit Camille you nearly gave me an aneurysm. You don't understand how much I flipped out seeing all of you just now. I couldn't control myself. My desires were so intense I'm not like this Why do I feel like this??" Solas explained.
"Its your new demon power. For new users it enhances their own desires almost to an unmanageable level but you did resist them so you are already getting a handle on your powers" Camille explained
"Ok well that answers my first question my second question is where is the kitchen i'm starving."
No sooner than Solas finished his sentence Camille brought a plate of delicious looking food from out of thin air. "Here Solas does this suffice?"
Without a second thought Solas devoured the whole plate of food. "Why am I so hungry? Is this part of the process?" he asked somewhat concerned.
"Yes like I said it enhances every desire whether they be carnal or primal." Camille answered. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm doing better now, I'm not quite as stressed out so I guess between boobs and food you made me feel pretty comfortable" "why did I just say that" Solas said. His face flushed red at the moment of saying that.
Camille just giggled at him and turned back into his bedroom.
Upon entering the bedroom he found all the girls fully clothed waiting on him. As he entered the room they all stood to greet him.
"We are sorry if we overwhelmed you. We aren't used to someone who isn't a depraved bastard. When Mordecai was here We were expected to act that way." Riku said sadly.
"What a piece of shit" Solas thought to himself "demon or not you shouldn't treat people that way. That makes me really mad." Solas thought.
"You don't have to apologize to me for the way some piece of shit treated you. He was a sick pervert that deserved nothing less than what he got." Solas fumed. He felt anger, not just anger but hatred. The feeling of hate wasn't something he was entirely familiar with but, he could feel how powerful feeling that kind of game could be. "Does this place have a room I can go train in??" Solas asked.
"Uh yeah," Asura replied feeling a little worried about the look on Solas face. "Are you ok Solas? You look pretty upset."
"I'm fine." Solas said strapping Ghrian to his back. "I just need take out a little aggression That's all. You don't have to worry about me."
Camille, obviously unsure about the look on Solas' face cut in "come with me darling I'll show you the way."
Solas followed Camille down the hall into a large circle room with huge crystals adorning the walls. "This is our illusionist training room. It connects to the thoughts of whomever is using it to show them whatever it is they want to see. It allows you to fight your enemies anytime you feel the need." Camille explained.
"That's exactly what I need. Now don't take this personally but I need you to leave this room all to me." Solas told the Camille sternly.
Disheartened but understanding Camille shuffled out of the room and back down the hallway. Upon reaching Solas room she entered and addressed her cohorts. "Be ready girls. He is honing to need is after this. He is about to lose it i think." Camille explained concerned.
Confused Riku asked, "I don't understand what just happened he was fine until we apologized. Then after he just looked like a homicidal maniac. What is he fighting in there?"
"If I had to guess I would say it is Mordecai. I hate the fact that he is in such pain because he killed my brother protecting me. I don't think I'm strong enough to heal this wound. I need both of your support." Both girls agreed profusely. At that moment there was a huge surge of power throughout the house.
Back in the training room Solas was sitting in the middle of room in the floor gathering himself. "I just want to kill that son of a bitch again. That thing was a monster. But, are they any different? Sure they became demons to protect themselves but are they just as evil? Am I? No, there is no way we are anything like that asshole I can feel the good in them but as for me, I'm starting to question." At that moment the room sprang to life and several illusions in the shape and form of Mordecai appeared. Solas rose and drew Ghrian from his back. "You'll never hurt them again you bastard." Solas screamed in rage. He let loose a wild flurry of slashes and cuts."This isn't enough I need to push harder." Solas pushed himself harder and harder until he noticed that there was a strange feeling about him. He looked around and what had once been a training room full of phantoms and structures was now little more than a barren battlefield of dead bodies and destruction. Solas regained focus and looked up. He caught his reflection in the mirror and stopped. His wings were out, he didn't remember releasing them. They were as black as a crows wing and glowing a violent gold color. The white marks that ordained his whole body glowed a deep violet and the holy sword Ghrian had changed in his hand to a large black sword that trembled with power.
"S-solas?" Camille's concerned voice broke the moment of thought and Solas turned quickly. Upon seeing Camille he broke. He dropped his sword and fell to his knees tears stung his eyes. "I'm sorry you saw me like this. I asked you to leave the room. "
Camille looked even more concerned and ran to him, she wrapped her arms around him, "I am here to take care of you. Please let me."
At that moment Solas fully collapsed into Camille's embrace and cried. As Camille held him she watched something amazing happen. His wings went from crow black back to a brilliant white but they looked different. They were tipped in black and had long black streaks running down the middle of them. His glow had disappeared and his sword had returned to normal save for a single black vein of power running down the center of the brilliant steel. "He is gaining control. There is no way he should be in control" Camille thought to herself mildly perplexed. Upon regaining his faculties a small bit Solas opened his mouth to speak but Camille placed her finger on his lips and shushed him "don't apologize please." Solas looked up to see the look in Camille's eyes. He expected to see disgust or disappointment but saw reverence instead, "why are you looking at me like that?" He jumped up to look at himself again and realized all the changes that had taken place. Upon those changes he also noticed that his eyes had changed from their normal blue to a deep royal purple. Then out of nowhere a huge surge of negative energy overtook him. He felt anger, hate, sadness, and of all things fear. "I have to go!" he shouted and broke off running toward the door before a word could be spoken. He went out the front door of the house and broke off into a run. As he ran harder and harder the feelings of dread increased. "I can't run fast enough. I'm sorry dad but this is an emergency." With that thought he released his wings and took flight. He flew with all his might up as high as he could hoping no one would see him luckily it was already nightfall so he had the cover of night to keep him safe. As he flew toward home he felt worse. the terrible feelings began to morph into rage and pain. Something was wrong, he didn't know what but, something. Upon reaching the house he saw the door standing open and the lights on. He drew his sword and walked through the door. "Mom, Dad?" he called but got no answer. As he walked through the house his stomach sank with every empty room. He finally reach the back door and saw the training room door standing open as well. He slowly and quietly walked from his house to the training room and peeled through the door. His face twisted in horror. There on the floor lay his father dead. Standing over him was a man with her black hair and even darker black wings. "This is my fault. I brought these people here. Where is mom or Michael? Why am I too late?" Suddenly all his thought stopped and he drew his sword.
He burst through the half open door and screamed "YOU BASTARD I'LL KILL YOU" The man turned quickly to see Solas rush toward him with his sword and side stepped his blow easily. "You must be Solas the bastard that killed my nephew Mordecai. How does it feel to lose someone you love?" Solas screamed in rage and rushed the man again. "Why can't I hit him what is going on I feel so weak" The man easily stepped out of the way and continued, "my name is Vulpin and I intend to make you feel everything you've made us feel." He rushed Solas drawing a sword from his cloak and struck Solas just above the elbow on his right arm. Solas let out a shriek of pain but continued to stand. Just then another voice broke the silence.
"Uncle Vulpin what the hell are you doing?? Camille and the others had followed Solas for fear of what may happen to him. Vulpin whipped around to see Camille and screamed "you betrayed your brother. You deserve death. However that's too good for someone like you. I'm going to kill this vermin and make you watch." Vulpin turned back to Solas and kicked him hard in the ribs. "You rat bastard you will suffer for the death of my family." Vulpin kept hammering blows on Solas. "This bastard is going to kill me just like my dad. I deserve nothing less. I should have been here to protect him." Suddenly Kynata's voice pierced Solas' mind "You did everything I expected of you my son. Now if you don't stand and fight you will die too and leave Camille here to suffer for something you did. Stand and fight boy, for everyone you love." Camille watched in horror as Vulpin beat Solas relentlessly. She finally lost all control and with all the power she could muster hurled a ball of fire at her uncle. Upon impact Vulpin threw off his cloak and turned quickly on his heels raising his sword to his niece. "I'll kill you bitch" Vulpin screamed. He started to swing his sword at her only to be answered by the ring of Ghrian striking his blade. He turned to see Solas' standing on his feet with his eyes glowing purple and the markings on his body glowing a terrifying red. The boys wings were outstretched and glowing with so much power it shook the very ground when he took a step. His voice as he spoke sounded as though there were two people speaking from the same mouth. "You won't hurt her." Solas raised his sword again and struck Vulpin in the chest "you are going to pay for what you've done." Solas raised his sword once more and in two violent slashes he cleaved both of Vulpin's wings from his back. Vulpin howled like a fatally wounded animal. Angered Solas raised his sword a final time and decapitated Vulpin. After his blow landed and Vulpin fell Solas looked at his father's body and fell to his knees screaming. "Where were you? Mom where are you?"
Camille looked on in sadness and said, "Solas?"
Upon hearing her voice Solas spread his wings and blasted out of the room. He took off flying at speeds so fast the girls couldn't catch him. He flew straight up screaming in rage and pain to the heavens. His screams were so loud he could be heard still for miles even as he climbed higher and higher. Eventually he was met by not only his mother but St. Michael. "Why the hell are you here?" Solas screamed in rage toward St. Michael. St. Michael merely stepped aside and allowed Michelle to address the boy, "I'm sorry son. I didn't know this would happen. Your father's soul came to me and told me to come find you."
"My father is dead and neither of you did a goddamned thing to protect him." Solas screamed.
St. Michael broke in, "child I am sorry your father is dead but we weren't not allowed to protect him. His death was necessary. Without his death a holy war would have broken out. The demons demanded compensation for the death of a demon family head. We offered them angels I offered them myself in fear that they would try and kill you but alas they asked only for a human life. The life of your father."
Solas screamed with rage, "you bastard his life wasn't yours to offer up as payment. You should have given them me I was the one who killed Mordecai not dad. I am not worth an innocent man's life."
Michelle cut in, "you know that's not true son. You know why you are here. Your father knew what was coming he accepted the fact."
"I'll never forgive you." Solas said bluntly, "I'll never forgive myself."
At that Solas flew off still in a rage.
"The boy had control of the demon power wouldn't you say Michelle." Michael asked.
"Yes but I still don't feel right using this as a way of testing him." Michelle replied.
Arriving back home Solas wrapped his father's body in a clean sheet and buried him under the tallest tree at their home and marked it with a wooden cross before flying back to the demon house.
Upon arriving back at the demon house he walked in through the door and sat at the head of the large table and thought to himself for a while. "They are all going to pay. I'll kill every last demon in hell if I have to but they will all feel the pain I'm feeling. The angels are no safer either they weren't allowed to protect him? Fuck that. From here on in I'm neither angel nor demon. I am the tri born and everyone will know who I am." Solas thought a while longer and called for Camille. "I want you to change this place. This is no longer the family home of Mordecai Dorchadas. This is now the St. Matthew's Family home. Make it more my style. I'm going out i'll be back in a few hours."
Solas left on his motorcycle headed for home. Once he got there he ran to his parents study and poured every piece of literature there. He read books on fighting, magic, the history of the angels and demons and countless other things. He learned that he could control magic through force of will and could even control it well enough to compel people to do the things he needed or create things from thin air. Among all this information he also found information detailing the demon families remaining. In total there are 10 which meant there were still 9 he needed to be rid of. Then and there he made a decision, he would deal with all the demon families first then he would take care of the angels. After finishing his study he went to his parents room and took his dad's ring and all the money in their safe. "Well they won't need it i suppose" He walked through the house and turned off the lights and locked the back door. After leaving the house he went to the training room. He walked through it making sure everything was out away where it should be and took his father's sword off the wall and strapped it to his back. "I'll take this with me and use a little trick I picked up in moms book." he thought to himself. He headed back toward the house but not before stopping off and getting some wine and cigarettes from a cleverly compelled store clerk. He called through the door smoking a cigarette and got some strange looks from his handlers. "I'm going to do some work in my room. Just leave me to it." he told the girls bluntly as he walked to his room. Once there he noticed the change in decor. He stopped turned around and poked his head out the door and yelled to the girls as jovially as possible, "This place looks awesome thank you."
The girls just exchanged confused looks and went back to drinking the tea they had made to pass time while they waited I'm Solas to return. While Solas was in his room he set his father sword on the table and using a technique he picked up in his reading imbued the sword with dark magic from his left hand and holy magic from his right hand. After finishing he strapped both swords to his back and walked to the training room. Seeing him move the girls followed and stood by the door. The room changed to Solas will and he removed his shirt spread his wings and readied his stance. Before him a large troll who had seen in another of his mother's books appeared in front of him. He stood unwavering before drawing both swords and taking flight. As he flew he focused on pouring his power into the blades of his swords. As he continued this he started to feel the power flow and grabbed control. He let loose with a flurry of slashes and stabs. He flew at high speed around the troll phantom and sliced at his head neck and chest. For the final blow he crossed his swords and pushed one great burst of energy through them. They glowed with power. He slashed both swords at once and lopped the beasts head off completely. He stood there heaving looking at his handiwork. "Again" he shouted and the room reset. The troll sprang back to life head intact. "If you are going to watch me, you can at least join the fight. Solas screamed to the girls He could feel watching him. The girls took heard his call and jumped into the fight. Solas stopped his fight and stepped back to watched the girls fight. They all seemed extremely powerful between Camille throwing fire, Riku throwing lightning and Asura hurling spikes of pure dark energy they were a sight to behold. After watching for a short second Solas rejoined the fight channeling power into his swords "these are my tools of justice. Everyone is gonna know who I am they will know the name St. Matthews." He jumped into the fight and with a few quick swipes he downed the troll. "Again," he screamed and the fight started again. He kept fighting and fighting and it seemed the harder he fought the harder the girls fought as well. Finally after a few hours of intense training he stop the fighting. "That was amazing" feeling spent. Something about the fighting got his juices flowing he was completely re energized. "Well I need a shower, join me?" he asked the girls who looked at each other and exchanged slight giggles. Solas walked into the bathroom and started the large waterfall shower he stood under the water feeling his muscles pulse after the intense workout he just had. Soon the three girls had joined him. He stood in the shower surveying the scene he found himself in. He smiled a wry smile and thought "being a demon has its perks." His body felt stronger and he could feel the power in him swelling. After finishing his shower he wrapped himself in a towel and walked to his room. Once there he sat on the bed and lit a cigarette and thought to himself, "this is great. I can do whatever I want to do and keep getting stronger then soon I'm gonna kill all those demon lords." As he ashed his cigarette the girls came in the room, "you were impressive today ladies how about a reward?" Solas joked pulling out the hidden bottle of wine and popped the cork on it he took a long swig and let it burn all the way down to his stomach. He passed the bottle to the right and lit another cigarette. They sat and drank the whole bottle and laughed the night away. Solas let himself be taken by the wine and the moment. After drinking the wine he put on a pair of shorts and laid down in the bed. All three girls flanked him and there he lay thinking to himself, "I've got to get stronger, they have to get stronger. But we can do this." Solas slept extremely hard and woke a few hours later and snuck out of the room. He strapped on his swords and went to the training grounds. He was going to fight all night if That's what it took. He fought hard killing every foe that appeared in front of him. The rage in his heart burned but pushed him harder and harder. He fought until he was so exhausted that he fell into the floor and fell asleep. When he woke he was in his bed flanked by all the girls. His muscles ached but he felt better. His head was more right than yesterday but he still couldn't find the motivation to move from his bed. So he lay there until the late hours of the morning until Camille woke up and looked at Solas with dreamy eyes, "good morning handsome" she said through a smile. "Good morning dear" he said not really paying much attention. "I had fun last night and so did Riku and Asura." Camille told him. He came back to reality and smiled, "I'm glad that you enjoyed it. We'll have to do it again sometime" he told her with a wink. At that moment the other girls woke up and greeted Solas with a foggy smile. Suddenly without warning a small orb of light broke through the open balcony door and hovered near the bed, "sorry to interrupt your party" the voice of St. Michael came through the orb, "we have located a demon that has been attacking people on the street and I need you to handle it. We will pay you."
"Keep your damned money the demon dies for nothing." Solas told St. Michael dismissively. "Just tell me what I need to know."

At dark Solas and the girls waited outside the warehouse that St. Michael sent them to.
"Everybody needs to be careful tonight we don't know what to expect." Solas reminded the girls.
The girls exchanged nervous looks and readied themselves.
As they walked in the building they entered a scene from horror film. The room was strewn with dead bodies some half eaten. As they surveyed the area Solas started to get upset by the scene. He drew both his swords and walked cautiously around the dead bodies.
"Come out you soulless bastard" Solas shouted. From behind a large column walked a monster. His skin had changed from normal to a thick hide that looked partially decayed, his wings were tattered and torn and is body showed signs of weathering far beyond what a normal human could have withstood.
"What happened to him? Why is he such a monster?" Solas asked Camille.
"He gave into his primal instincts. He has become a monster. Death is best for him." Camille said.
At that Solas raised his swords and moved in closer. "I'm going to end this things miserable existence I can't stand this."
All at once the four charged the beast and unleashed a full scale assault. Using magic and Solas' swords they slashed and attacked the beast to seemingly no avail. The beast shrieked and lashed out striking at everyone."Everyone watch yourselves" Solas screamed to the girls. At that moment he heard Riku scream in pain. He looked quickly to see Riku fly through the air and land with a hard thud. "Everyone get back. Take care of Riku I'll handle this prick." Solas screamed to Camille and Asura.
The girls fell back and tended to Riku. Solas squared up to the monster and raised both swords. "You hurt one of my family, that is not something I can allow. You are going to die for this." he told the monster.
"You can't kill me child," the monster replied. "Holy shit this thing can still talk?" Solas thought to himself.
The beast charged in striking Solas rapidly over and over. Solas sustained a good bit of damage but held in his resolve until the attack had ceased. He thought to himself and focused hard and channeled all his power to the blades of his swords and in one fatal strike ended the life of the beast with no issue. However due to the beating he took and the enormous amount of energy he expelled he collapsed to the floor and lost consciousness.
