Hi there Chris, welcome to the world of being clear headed! I’m a strong advocate & believer for recovery! It has not only saved my life but allowed me to live a life.

life sober is an amazing journey. There are bumps along the way, but hey, that’s life.

I stopped drinking and joined AA when I was 23. Now I’m 55 with 32 years. I cannot convey how amazing my life sober has been.

I’ve gotten to experience my 20, 30s and so on sober.

I’ve had and have a wealth of friends.

I’m made to feel welcome within my recovery community as I was by those that were there for me when I started attending.

I’m timeless and ageless as most folks are in recovery. I feel so blessed to have access to people of all ages, race and backgrounds.

Your appreciating the simplicity of your new life and the joy you feel jumped out at me.

Enjoy your 1st year. As I’ve heard it out, it’s a year of firsts for everything.

I recall how beautiful things were once I stopped that I would have never cared about before.

I remember the first time I cried sober. I went to see the Color Purple when it opened with a bunch of sober fitness and cried like a baby!

One of my favorite life quotes is from the movie “Auntie Mame” which is: “Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death. So live!”

one thing I’ve had since I stopped is hope. this changes that never did.

hang in there, for you will find as you stay clean it is truly worth it.
