Are you finding yet the desire to go shopping for new color schemes in clothing? I’ve heard that happens sometimes when people change hair color. I imagine for many folks that can be quite a good prospect!

Maybe it’s odd in comparison to others, but it’s taken me until “post-50" to take such leaps of faith when they weren’t simply acts of desperation, career or personal.

I seriously advise young people to not wait that long. No one knows how your long life will turn out, and my own life has shown me that even the best-laid long-term life plans have at most a 50% chance of proceeding as you had imagined. If you truly care for yourself, what changes you explore will be for the betterment of your future, even perhaps opening up further choices you might not have had.

Sometimes you even have to make sudden leaps just to keep your original plan going ahead as you desire, so there’s really no avoiding the prospect. I’ve never yet in my life found a career position that allowed me to simply “work the job” the same way as usual for anything longer than a couple of years. Just to stay employed in today’s business environment you have to learn to leap, ’cause the “floor” won’t stay under you for long.

Making such decisions is really part of “being yourself”, though they might seem to many to be extreme diversions from the familiar “you”.

If you’re thinking of it, and it has a stronger appeal than doing nothing new, then that’s “you”. Being logical, practical and careful about how you do it might just be being “smart you”, but if you know you can’t live with doing what you’ve been doing so you must do something else, then that’s you talking to you. You will have changed, and then that’s also you. You that you like better, if it worked out the way you wanted.

“BTW” the blonde hair brings out your smile very nicely!
