Why are we in an ever-constant showdown with North Korea?
John Ruehl

One thing I keep cautioning people to appreciate, is that North Korea does not at all have to improve it’s warhead targeting system enough to hit any particular target. It only has to hit, or demonstrate ability to hit, one very big continent-sized “target”; the U.S.A.

That means, as soon as they can guarantee an explosion over any part of the continental U.S., they are done. They are “there”. Doesn’t matter where it explodes. In fact it would be to their distinct advantage to claim they don’t have really high control over that.

That is what you call “terrorism”, and if our people haven’t got a handle on how that is best employed yet, then they truly have learned nothing from decades of very stark lessons…

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
