What I find scary, is the response I got from one active high-level security expert I know, (who inexplicably is also a Trump fan…), when asked whether it was fair for Kushner to not be under the same amount of suspicion as my associate would be given similar revelations.
“Doesn’t matter. President’s staff, President’s choice!”
I don’t know if what he said is true and that scares me much less than having any person in his position declare that letting Kushner keep his clearance would be permissible by anyone, in any position, for any reason.
If that has become a widespread belief, then perhaps we have our explanation how & why the Russians have been running rampant in our civil affairs computer networks…
