Empire State Ride : Day 6

Another great day with fabulous scenery such as this

and this

I actually got to see something really cool while traveling along the Erie Canal. It started with a loud thrashing sound which turned out to be this water going through these slightly ajar doors

This was all being done so this boat could go down the canal as you see here through the fully open doors

We’ve now cycled close to 450 miles and seen a bunch of cool sights. Along the way, you spend a lot of time in the saddle. Talking. To whoever is in the saddle next to you. And what you end up with is getting to know in an impactful manner the passions of your fellow riders. The ones you now consider family. And maybe that is what this trip is all about? Family. I’m really looking forward to seeing my family, new and immediate, tomorrow, at Niagara Falls.

This will be my last post about this trip. There are epic details planned for tomorrow, but I already know there is no way I would be able to properly put words to it. You should experience such a thing yourself.

It’s been a pleasure sharing this with all of you.
