Hi- I know hat you mean by questioning the use of analogies, I am really good as using analogy’s but through experience of communication I have gotten better and better at talking directly to the subjects, although I still resort to analogy if I cant seem to find the word to talk directly about what it is were talking about, its as though the person with whom I am having the conversation with either does or does not have a previous thought foundation of what were trying to discuss or not and if they don’t then analogy seems to be what the mind wants to use instead of direct data, as the direct data approach gives a llot of information all at once and the conversation then stops because the subject matter needs to be given weeks of thought, where a analogy lets the listener key into whats being referred to at their own level of understanding and unfold the subject gradually in their mind over time. It just depends the direct approach gets right to it but some might not be ready for that much information or truth or the gentle approach of analogy, either way it is healthy for us to communicate but do try and make sure that when using analogy there is some wide clear senses of whats being referred to when moving to talk indirectly about stuff.
