Don’t aim at success – the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it most ensue…. As the unintended side-effort of ones’s personal dedication to a course greater than oneself. – Viktor Frankl

It’s not the destination, it’s the journey

My family and I tend to do a lot of dreaming and goal setting this time of the year. I think with the shorter days, cooler weather, slower life it’s our perfect time to reflect on how we want to our next year to look. It’s fun to dream of new goals, I find it is needed to maintain motivation throughout our arctic winters.

Speaking for myself, I’m often overwhelmed with goals I’d like to chase. So many different ideas and desires.

This year though, I’m trying to approach the goal setting differently. I’m asking myself, what goal will have the most meaning for me and my family. How can I impact others with my pursuits and what pursuit will help me grow the most? That is how I’m setting goals this year.
