I do prefer the title you chose. My data is not only lazy, but also willfully resistant to work. It is actively lazy.
I would venture to add (probably not to your surprise) that it can be described more specifically as a design problem.
Neither our data nor our solutions, in the BI domain, are properly designed most of the time. Warehouses require organization, or they become heaps.
Then data “gurus” come along and throw the whole heap into a lake.
That’s not BI. That’s littering.
